The Hidden Warfront

Life often feels like a whirlwind of daily tasks and personal challenges, but beneath the surface lies a profound truth: life is spiritual warfare. Consider David facing his brother Eliab’s discouraging words, "Why have you come down here?" before he even met Goliath. This was not just a brotherly jab; it was a pre-emptive strike, a psychological manoeuvre to undermine David’s confidence. This illustrates a crucial point: we fight on enemy territory to reclaim what Satan stole from humanity. Jesus decisively defeated Satan, yet the spiritual struggle for our hearts and minds continues, as his demons have not stopped the pursuit of fulfilling their master’s mission to destroy humanity. However, Jesus has equipped us with spiritual weapons, but first, we must acknowledge that we are in a war.

Recognising this hidden front, the spiritual dimension of our lives, empowers us. Every believer has a unique calling in God's plan, and the enemy will try to derail it. Understanding that the challenges we face often have a spiritual root enables us to be vigilant and prepared. It transforms our perspective, turning everyday struggles into opportunities to advance God's kingdom.
